The Chittenden-3-1 Representative District is a two-member state Vermont Representative Districts, 2002-2012, Representative district in the United States, U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the United States Census, 2000, 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. Vermont Representative Districts, 2002-2012
Vermont, Vermont's state Vermont House of Representatives, House of Representatives consists of 150 members elected from 108 single or two-member districts as provided for in the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 United States census, 2000 U.S. census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. census. As of the 2000 United States census, 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4059 residents per representative. Members per district The Vermont Constitution (Chapter 2, Section 13) requires that House districts be limited to one or two members. Kurt Wright
Kurt Wright (born February 7, 1956) is an American politician who served in the Vermont House of Representatives from 2001 to 2019, and on Burlington, Vermont's city council intermittently between 1995 and 2020. He was president of the city council from 2007 to 2009, and 2018 to 2020. He is the last Republican to serve on Burlington's city council and to represent it in the state house. Born in Middlebury, Vermont, Wright moved to Burlington, Vermont, and managed multiple stores before becoming active in local politics. He worked for Peter Brownell's mayoral campaign in 1993, member of local committees, chair of the city's Republican committee, field director for Ruth Dwyer during the 1998 gubernatorial election, and a delegate to the 2004 Republican National Convention.
