Elisa Christian Galvé (July 20, 1922 in Buenos Aires – October 20, 2000 in Rome) was an Argentina, Argentine actress. She was best known for her roles in films in the 1940s and 1950s, during the Golden Age of Argentine cinema. She made her film debut in 1939 in the film ''Caras argentinas'', and made her last film appearance in ''Dos en el mundo'' in 1966. Pampa Film
Pampa Film was an Argentine film production company that was active during the Golden Age of Argentine cinema in the 1930s and 1940s. It is known for its classic '' Prisioneros de la tierra'' (1939). History Pampa Film was founded in January 1937 by Warner Bros. in partnership with the local entrepreneur Olegario Ferrando. The company used the Lumiton facilities at first, and Lumiton was to distribute its films. Later the link with Lumiton was severed. Luis Saslavsky directed ''Sueño de Una Vide Nueva'' for Pampa Film, released in Argentina as '' La fuga'' by Warner Bros. on 28 July 1937 with music by César Gola. It was one of the hits of the year. Jorge Luis Borges praised the romantic comedy, saying it did not "suffer from fruitless images" but flowed "the way American films do." Carmen Lamas (1900 in Spain – 1990 in Buenos Aires) was a Spanish-born tango singer, and the first Spanish actress who made her career in Argentina. Lamas debuted in 1921 in a cast headed by his father, Miguel Lamas, Spanish actor and director. Benito Perojo González (Madrid, 14 June 1894 – Madrid, 11 November 1974) was a Spanish film director and film producer. Biography Son of José Perojo Figueras (1850–1908), a journalist and politician of Cuban origin, by his wife, Ana Cortina Fuentes (1871–1954). On 18 July 1966 he was honoured by the Caballero Gran Cruz de la Orden del Mérito Civil. He died in Madrid on 11 November 1974 aged 80 and he was survived by his daughter Carmen Perojo Carreras. ''Paquita'' is a ballet in two acts and three scenes originally choreographed by Joseph Mazilier to music by Édouard Deldevez and Ludwig Minkus. Paul Foucher received royalties as librettist. History ''Paquita'' is the creation of French composer Édouard Deldevez and Paris Opéra Ballet Master Joseph Mazilier. It was first presented at the Salle Le Peletier by the Paris Opera Ballet on 1 April 1846 and was retained in the repertory of the Opéra until 1851. Homero Cárpena (14 February 1910 – 17 January 2001) was an Argentine film actor born in Mar del Plata, notable for his work during the Golden Age of Argentine cinema. He appeared in 72 films between 1933 and 1972 although the bulk of his work was in the late 1930s and 1940s.
