Chinna Creek
Chinna Creek () is a lagoon, within the municipal boundaries of Karachi, on the Arabian Sea coastline, located in the south-west region of Sindh, Pakistan. Covering an area of approximately 6 square kilometres, it extends approximately 5 kilometres in length and spans between 300 and 500 metres in width, with depths ranging from 1 to 3 metres. Location Positioned at the eastern periphery of the Karachi Harbour, Chinna Creek holds strategic importance in the maritime infrastructure of the region. The environs surrounding the creek is diverse. To its west lies the Native Jetty Bridge, with the old bridge now serving as a food promenade. The new bridge handles road traffic, while a railway bridge, used for freight trains, also leads towards Keamari (locality), Keamari. ''Chinna'' () is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language romantic thriller film written and directed by Sundar C. The film stars Arjun and Sneha in lead roles. It was released on 15 July 2005. Plot The film begins with Gayathri marrying an irrigation engineer against her wishes. As she goes through with her marriage in autopilot , her sunken heart reflects on her past. Gayathri, a marine student, goes to Rameswaram to study coral reefs and marine ecosystems while staying with her uncle and cousin in a fisherman hamlet. Chinna Pillai is a community leader from Pulliseri, a small village near Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. She had started a very successful banking system in the villages of Tamil Nadu, and has made many contributions to attempt to reduce poverty and debt grievances by empowering women. She made efforts in starting a savings unit among the women of the village of Pullucheri. Chinna Pillai is illiterate and can only sign her name. She was recognized as a leader because of people find her negotiation skills effective.
