Chinghla Mong Chowdhury Mari
Chinghla Mong Chowdhury Mari ( bn, চিং হ্লা মং চৌধুরী মারী; 29 September 1938 – 10 May 2012), simply known as Mari Chowdhury, was a Bangladeshi football player who played as a left-winger. He is considered to be the best East Pakistani footballer of all time, and one of the few to play for the Pakistan national team. Although most of his goals are unregistered, Mari is the unrecognised all-time top scorer in both Dhaka League and Bangladeshi top-tier football history with 234 goals. Early life Mari was born in Chandraghona, Rangamati on 29 September 1938. He lost his father at a young age, and was raised by his mother. Chandraghona is a town on the Karnaphuli River in the Chittagong Division of Bangladesh. Geography The town is located on the Kaptai Road between Kaptai Upazila and Ranguni, 48 kilometers from the city of Chittagong. It is from Bahaddarhut bus station. IFA Shield
The IFA Shield is an annual football competition organized by the Indian Football Association. The IFA is the governing body of football in the state of West Bengal, came into existence in 1893. Named after the association, the IFA Shield tournament was started in the same year. Kabir Ahmed (footballer)
Kabir Ahmed ( bn, কবির আহমেদ; 2 February 1935 – 3 January 2019) was a Bangladeshi football player and coach. He is one of the few East Pakistani players to have represented the Pakistan national team. He was part of the legendary East Pakistani attacking trio of Kabir, Mari Chowdhury and Ashraf Chowdhury. Club career Kabir began his career with Town Club in the Barishal First Division in 1951. At 17, he joined Bengal Government Press and won the Dhaka League. In 1953, he played for Governors XI against Kolkata Mohammedan, during an exhibition match in Dhaka. In 1955, Kabir joined Dhaka Wanderers and won the league that season. Enayetur Rahman Khan ( bn, এনায়েতুর রহমান খান; born 28 February 1951) is a former Bangladeshi footballer who played as a striker. He served as a member of the Shadhin Bangla Football Team, the team which played across India to raise funds during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971, and after the war subsided he represented the Bangladesh national football team from 1973 to 1978.
