Chinese Mathematical Olympiad
The Chinese Mathematical Olympiad ( zh, 中国数学奥林匹克) is an annual invitational mathematical competition for high school students in China organized by the Chinese Mathematical Society. Its participants are teams of high school students from every province of mainland China, as well as guest teams from the two special administrative regions Hong Kong and Macau, and also from Russia and Singapore. It is part of the selection process for the Chinese team to the International Mathematical Olympiad. Eligibility To take part in the Chinese Mathematical Olympiad, high school students have to attain top positions in their own provinces in the National High School Mathematics Competition, which is held on the second Sunday of September each year. Chinese Mathematical Society
The Chinese Mathematical Society (CMS, ) is an academic organization for Chinese mathematicians, with the official websitwww.cms.org.cn It is a member of China Association of Science and Technology. History The Chinese Mathematical Society (CMS) was founded in July 1935 in Shanghai. The inaugural conference was held in the library of Shanghai Jiao Tong University on July 25, and 33 people attended the meeting. Its founding members included Hu Dunfu, Feng Zuxun, Zhou Meiquan, Jiang Lifu, Xiong Qinglai, Chen Jiangong, Gu Deng, Su Buqing, Jiang Zehan, Qian Baozong, and Fu Zhongsun. Shandong University
Shandong University (; SDU) is a public university in Jinan, Shandong, China. It is affiliated with the Ministry of Education (China), Ministry of Education of China. The university is part of Project 211, Project 985, and the Double First-Class Construction. The oldest of Shandong University's precursor institutions, Cheeloo University, was founded by American and English mission agencies in the late 19th century (as Tengchow College of Liberal Arts in Penglai District, Penglai).
