China Bandy Federation
China Bandy Federation, ''CBF'', was founded on 13 December 2014. The Chinese Ice Hockey Association joined the Federation of International Bandy (FIB) in 2010 and governed bandy in China until it was replaced by the CBF. The federation was founded at the initiative and cooperation of China Sustainable Society, Nordic Sustainable Organization, Nordic Vikings, Hokay, Harbin Sport University, Chengde City and Beijing International. The Federation is looking to set up teams in Chengde, Harbin, Changchun, Qiqihar, Jiamusi, Fuyuan (close to the Russian border and Khabarovsk, where there's a professional Russian bandy club) as well as Beijing. China Bandy is mainly financed by private resources. The City of Chengde, the Federation of International Bandy and some Russian and Swedish companies has helped starting up the organisation. Chinese Ice Hockey Association
The Chinese Ice Hockey Association (CIHA) is the governing body of ice hockey in the People's Republic of China. It has been a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 1963. It also covered bandy in China and joined the Federation of International Bandy (FIB) in 2010. In late 2014, China Bandy Federation was founded and replaced the ice hockey association as the FIB member. Bandy is a winter sport and ball sport played by two teams wearing ice skates on a large ice surface (either indoors or outdoors) while using sticks to direct a ball into the opposing team's goal. 2018 Bandy World Championship
The 2018 Bandy World Championship was the 38th Bandy World Championship between men's bandy teams. The tournament took place in China and Russia. Division A matches were played in the Russian city of Khabarovsk and Division B matches in Harbin, Heilongjiang, China. Participating teams and officials Eight nations were qualified for the Division A, where the matches were played in Khabarovsk, Russia. Canada would have made its return to Division A, as it won in the Division B last year, but declined to participate and was replaced by Hungary. The other teams in Division A were directly qualified through their results in the same division last year. The Division B matches were played in Harbin, Manchuria, and made up of eight teams. 2018 Women's Bandy World Championship
The 2018 Women's Bandy World Championship was held in China, in the city of Chengde on 9–13 January 2018. This was the IXth Women's Bandy World Championship. While the highest number of participants in any previous tournament was 7, the organisers had thought out measures aimed at attracting 12 participating countries. Fuyuan (; ) is a county-level city of the province of Heilongjiang, China. It is under the jurisdiction of the prefecture-level city of Jiamusi. History The area of present-day Fuyuan was inhabited by the Sushen dating back to approximately 4000 BCE. The Federation of International Bandy (FIB; , , ) is the international governing body for the sport of bandy, including the variant called rink bandy. The federation is headquartered in Karlstad Municipality, Sweden. History Bandy as known today has been played since the later half of the 19th century. Rules were set up in the 1890s by the National Bandy Association in England and by the corresponding body in Russia.
