The China Association for Non-Profit Organization (CANPO, zh, 中国社会组织促进会) is a national social entity overseen by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China. It comprises unit members from social organizations, foundations, privately-run non-enterprises, and individual members committed to the advancement of social organizations and who have contributed to their development. The Ministry of Civil Affairs ( zh, 中华人民共和国民政部) the cabinet-level executive department of the State Council of China which is responsible for social and administrative affairs. It is the 10th-ranked department in the State Council. It was founded in its current form in May 1978, and the current minister is Lu Zhiyuan. The Ministry's main duties are to "formulate development plans and policies for civil affairs; manage registration and monitor social groups, funds and private non-enterprise units; map out disaster response policies; organize and coordinate relief efforts; prepare social assistance plans, policies and standards; help with subsidies for urban and rural residents, medical and temporary assistance; formulate social welfare development plans, policies and standards; and develop policies related to marriage, burials and funerals." Great Hall Of The People
The Great Hall of the People is a state building situated to the west of Tiananmen Square in Beijing. It is used for legislative and ceremonial activities by the government of the People's Republic of China. The People's Great Hall functions as the meeting place for the full sessions of China's legislature, the National People's Congress, which occurs every year during March along with the national session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a political advisory body. China News Service (CNS; ) is the second largest state news agency in China, after Xinhua News Agency. China News Service was formerly run by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, which was absorbed into the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 2018.
