The China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo ( zh, 中国-非洲经贸博览会) is a national trade exhibition co-organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Hunan Provincial People's Government. It is permanently situated in Hunan and conducted biennially. History The first China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo occurred from June 27 to 29, 2019, in Changsha, Hunan Province. China and African nations inked 84 cooperation agreements across several sectors, including trade, investment, infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturing, aviation, and tourism, amounting to a total value of US$20.8 billion. The second Expo commenced on September 26, 2021, in Changsha, further promoting China-Africa economic and trade relations. The third Expo occurred from June 29 to July 2, 2023, in Changsha. Ministry Of Commerce Of The People's Republic Of China
The Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) is an executive department of the State Council of the People's Republic of China responsible for formulating policies on foreign trade, export and import regulations, foreign direct investments, consumer protection, market competition ( competition regulator), and negotiating bilateral and multilateral trade agreements. It is the 20th-ranked department of the State Council. The current minister is Wang Wentao. History In November 1949, a month after the People's Republic of China was established, the Chinese Communist Party formed the Ministry of Trade (贸易部) while the MOEA continued to operate in Taiwan and several other islands. In August 1952, the Ministry was renamed to Ministry of Foreign Trade (对外贸易部). Ye Jizhuang was the first Minister and died in the post in 1967. The Hunan Provincial People's Government ( zh, c=湖南省人民政府, p=Húnánshěng Rénmín Zhèngfǔ) is the local administrative agency of Hunan. It is officially elected by the Hunan Provincial People's Congress and is formally responsible to the Hunan Provincial People's Congress and its Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, Standing Committee. Under the country's one-party system, the Governor of Hunan, governor is subordinate to the Party Secretary of Hunan, secretary of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.
