Chime (Ai Otsuka Song)
"Chime" is a song by Japanese singer-songwriter Ai Otsuka. The song was released as her 26th single on September 4, 2019, through Avex Trax. Background "Chime" was used as opening theme for the second half of TV Tokyo anime series ''Fruits Basket (2019 TV series), Fruits Basket'', which began airing July 5, 2019. The song was described as a positive and upbeat track aimed at “ringing a starting bell for those who want to change but find it hard to take that first step.” Otsuka revealed that she actually had written the song four years prior, but adapted its lyrics to reflect on the anime series. The theme she wanted to convey with the song was that "it’s okay not to be perfect, that’s why people meet and connect with others." Otsuka co-arranged the song with Hiroo Yamaguchi (under pen name "hiroo"). Ai Otsuka
is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Suminoe-ku, Osaka, Japan. She is a popular artist on the Avex Trax label and is best known for her 2003 hit " Sakuranbo", which stayed in the Top 200 Oricon Weekly Singles Chart for 103 weeks. A piano player since age four, Otsuka composes and co-produces her own songs, as well as writes her own lyrics. Her music ranges from upbeat pop/rock music to ballads. Every year, Otsuka also has her own ''Love is Born'' tour to mark the anniversary of being in the music industry and her birthday in September. All of the ''Love is Born'' concerts take place in Japan, ending in her hometown of Osaka. On ''Love is Born 5th Anniversary'' in 2008, Otsuka held a leg of the concert in Taiwan, where she performed a Chinese version of her song "Planetarium". Kit Kat (stylised as KitKat in various countries) is a chocolate-covered wafer bar Confectionery, confection created by Rowntree's of York, England. It is produced globally by Nestlé (which acquired Rowntree's in 1988), except in the United States, where it is made under licence by the H. B. Reese, H. B. Fruits Basket (2019 TV Series)
The 2019 anime series ''Fruits Basket'' is the second anime based on the manga series of the same name by Natsuki Takaya, adapted from all 23 volumes of the story. The new anime adaptation was announced in November 2018, featuring a new cast and staff, with TMS Entertainment handling the 63 episodes-long productions from April 2019 to June 2021, and divided into three seasons.
