The ''Chicago Review of Books'' is an online literary publication of StoryStudio Chicago that reviews recent books covering diverse genres, presses, voices, and media. The magazine was started in 2016 by founding editor Adam Morgan. It is considered a sister publication of ''Arcturus'', which publishes original fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. The ''Chicago Review of Books'' is currently led by Editor-In-Chief Michael Welch. Content The ''Chicago Review of Books'' publishes regular reviews and interviews from authors publishing across independent and large publishers, as well as book lists, feature essays, and podcasts. José Olivarez is an author, poet and educator from Calumet City, Illinois, U.S. His first full collection of poetry is ''Citizen Illegal'', published by Haymarket Books. ''Citizen Illegal'' was shortlisted for the 2019 PEN/Jean Stein Book Award. City Bureau is an American non-profit organization based in the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. It is a non-profit newsroom with a stated mission "to equip every community with the tools it needs to eliminate information inequity to further liberation, justice and self-determination." It was founded in 2015. History City Bureau was founded in October 2015 by Bettina Chang, Andrea Hart, Darryl Holliday, Harry Backlund.
