The Southwestern Tai or Thai languages are a branch of the Tai languages of Southeast Asia. Its languages include Thai language, Central Thai (Siamese), Northern Thai language, Northern Thai (Lanna), Lao language, Lao (including Isan language, Isan), Shan language, Shan and others. Classification The internal classification of the Southwestern Tai dialects is still not well agreed on.
