Chery QQ
Chery QQ is a series of city cars produced by Chinese automobile manufacturer Chery Automobile. The first of the series was the QQ hatchback in 2003, later renamed QQ3 in 2006 to sell alongside the QQ6. Other models have been included in the lineup since then. Chery Automobile
Chery Automobile Co. Ltd., trading as Chery (), is a Chinese automobile manufacturer owned by Chery Holding Group Co., Ltd. Founded in 1997, it is currently the fourth largest automobile manufacturer group in China, with 2,603,916 vehicles sold in 2024. The company is headquartered in Wuhu, Anhui, China; and currently under the ownership of the Wuhu municipal government. Chery was founded in 1997 by government officials of Wuhu, who appointed Yin Tongyue, the current chairman, as the company's first technical director. Chery launched its first car called the Fengyun in 1999, using a licensed SEAT chassis. During its early years, Chery utilized technologies from other manufacturers; some were licensed and others were acquired by reverse engineering. Chery QQ3
The Chery QQ is a city car produced by the Chinese manufacturer Chery after May 2003. In 2006, Chery created a QQ-branded product line that included the original QQ (rebadged as a QQ3), a sedan version called Chery QQ6 released in September 2006 and a three-door hatchback called Chery QQme released in June 2009. A slightly redesigned model of the original QQ was revealed at the 2011 Guangzhou Auto Show, and was renamed Chery QQ3 Sport and a new generation was introduced at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. Chery QQ6
The Chery QQ6 (codename ''S21'') is a city car produced by the Chinese manufacturer Chery Automobile. It is a four-door sedan which is based on a platform self-developed by Chery. Chery discontinued the QQ6 in 2010. A facelifted variant of the QQ6 was known as the Cowin 1 and was sold from 2010 to 2013. Style & Body description The QQ6 was designed to appeal to younger buyers with its rounded body. The interior is particularly arranged for comfort during long journeys. Chery QQme
The Chery QQme (codeproject S16) is a city car produced by the Chinese manufacturer Chery Automobile from 2009 to 2011. Overview Chery created a QQ-branded product line in 2006 that included the original QQ (rebadged as a QQ3), a sedan version called Chery QQ6 and the three door Chery QQme. Prices of the QQme ranged from 55,000 yuan to 69,000 yuan with sales per year ranging from a few hundreds up to just above a thousand units. Sales The car sold in 1,350 units in 2009, 374 units in 2010 and only 102 cars were sold in the full 2011 fiscal year. Production has ceased. In all, the car sold in only 1,826 units. The Chery QQ Ice Cream () is a battery electric city car manufactured by Chery since 2021. Overview The Chery QQ Ice Cream was first showed in July 2021 in an ice cream-themed camouflage wrap and was described by the automaker as an SUV. The QQ Ice Cream was later revealed at the Chengdu Auto Show in August as the fourth new nameplate under the Chery QQ series of a small cars, intended to be a competitor of the slightly smaller and similarly shaped Wuling Hongguang Mini EV. The QQ Ice Cream is marketed towards the female car buyer demographic, and a variant for ride-sharing companies is planned to be offered.
