Chernivtsi Raion
Chernivtsi Raion () is a raion (district) of Chernivtsi Oblast, Ukraine. It was created on 18 July 2020 as part of the reform of administrative divisions of Ukraine. Most of its territory is located in the historical region of Bukovina, while the southeastern parts are in Bessarabia, and the Hertsa region. The center of the raion is the city of Chernivtsi. Four abolished raions, Hertsa, Hlyboka, Storozhynets, and Zastavna Raions, part of abolished Kitsman and Novoselytsia Raions, as well as the city of Chernivtsi, which was previously incorporated as a city of oblast significance, were merged into Chernivtsi Raion. A raion (; ), often translated as district, is the second-level Administrative divisions of Ukraine, administrative division in Ukraine. Raions were created in a 1922 administrative reform of the Soviet Union, to which Ukraine, as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, belonged. Storozhynets Raion
Storozhynets Raion (, ) was a raion (administrative district) in Chernivtsi Oblast, (province), in the historical region of Bukovina, in western part of Ukraine. The administrative center of the raion was the city of Storozhynets. It bordered with Romania from south, Vyzhnytsia Raion from west, Kitsman Raion from north, municipality of Chernivtsi and Hlyboka Raion from east. Chudei
Chudei (; ; ; ) is a village in Chernivtsi Raion, Chernivtsi Oblast, Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Chudei rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Until 18 July 2020, Chudei belonged to Storozhynets Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Chernivtsi Oblast to three. The area of Storozhynets Raion was merged into Chernivtsi Raion. In 2001, 82.24% of the inhabitants spoke Romanian as their native language, while 13.56% spoke Ukrainian. Chernivtsi urban territorial hromada () is a hromada of Ukraine, located in the western Chernivtsi Oblast. Chahor (; ) is a village in Chernivtsi Raion, Chernivtsi Oblast, Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Chahor rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Until 18 July 2020, Chahor belonged to Hlyboka Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Chernivtsi Oblast to three. The area of Hlyboka Raion was merged into Chernivtsi Raion. According to the 2001 Ukrainian census, Chahor had a population of 4,264 inhabitants, out of which 3,776 (88.56%) were Ukrainian-speakers, 433 (10.15%) Romanian-speakers (including 238 self-identified Moldovan-speakers or 5.59%, and 195 self-identified Romanians-speakers, or 4.57%) and 48 Russian-speakers (1.13%). Boiany
Boiany (; ; ) is a village in Chernivtsi Raion, Chernivtsi Oblast (province) of western Ukraine. It is located close to Sadagura in the historic region of Bukovina. Hromada
In Ukraine, a hromada () is the main type of municipality and the third level Administrative divisions of Ukraine, local self-government in Ukraine. The current hromadas were established by the Cabinet of ministers of Ukraine, Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. A municipality is designated ''urban hromada'' if its administration is located in a city; ''settlement hromada'' if it is located in a settlement (''selyshche''), and ''rural hromada'' if it is located in a village (Village#Ukraine, ''selo'') or a ''selyshche''. City Of Regional Significance (Ukraine)
A city of regional significance () in Ukraine was a type of second-level Administrative divisions of Ukraine, administrative division or municipality, the other type being Raions of Ukraine, raions (districts).
