Supernatural Horror Film
Supernatural horror film is a film genre that combines aspects of supernatural film and horror film. Supernatural occurrences in such films often include ghosts and demons, and many supernatural horror films have elements of religion. Common themes in the genre are the afterlife, the devil, and demonic possession. Not all supernatural horror films focus on religion, and they can have "more vivid and gruesome violence". Comparisons For such films and other media, critics distinguish supernatural horror from psychological horror. Mathias Clasen writes in ''Why Horror Seduces'', "Supernatural horror involves some kind of suspension or breach of physical law, usually embodied in or caused by some kind of supernatural agency such as an uncanny monster or a ghost... psychological horror, on the other hand, does not involve violations of physical law, but features naturalistic (if often implausible) menaces and scenarios." Paul Meehan also distinguishes supernatural horror films from psy ...

Bomoh
A ''bomoh'' ( Jawi: توء بوموه) is a Malay shaman and traditional medicine practitioner. The term is used mainly in Malaysia and parts of Sumatra, whereas most Indonesians use the word ''dukun''. It is often mistranslated into English as medicine man or witch doctor. In colloquial usage, the term ''bomoh'' is often interchangeable with another type of shaman or dukun, the pawang, but they generally serve different functions. The ''bomoh'' is primarily a healer, herbalist, geomancer, and sorcerer. The ''pawang'' on the other hand usually specialises in rituals involving weather, nature, animals, and a good harvest. Their roles do overlap, however, and both claim to act as intermediaries for the spirits and gods. Etymology The word ''bomoh'' (at times spelled ''bomo'' or ''bomor'') has been in common usage since at least classical times. It is a loan of the Thai term ''maw'' or ''mohr'' (; , "doctor"). This word can mean either doctor or sorcerer, as in terms like ''mawpii' ...

Evaluation of the year In his article from April 18, 2017, which highlighted the best movies of 2007, critic Mark Allison of '' Den of Geek'' said, "2007 must surely be remembered as one of the finest years in English-language film-making, quite possibly the best of this century so far. Like 1939, 1976, or 1994, it was one of those years in which a succession of veritable classics came into being. So many, in fact, that some of the best examples were cruelly overlooked by the hype machine ...
