Cherie Pridham
Cherie Pridham (born May 22, 1971) is the sports director for the Lotto-Soudal (also known as Lotto Dstny) cycling team. She is the first woman, on the men's world cycling tour to hold that role, and the first woman to achieve a World Tour victory at Tirreno-Adriatico in March 2021. Career Pridham started bike racing in South Africa and rode her first Tour de l'Aude Cycliste Féminin when she was 19 years old. Her pro cycling career spanned eight Tours de l'Aude Cycliste Féminin and two Giri d'Italia Femminile (formerly known as the Giro Rosa), until her professional racing career was cut short due to injuries sustained from a hit and run accident in 2006. In 2006, Pridham began managing professional cycling teams by joining a junior development team called the Merlin Development Squad. Tirreno–Adriatico
Tirreno–Adriatico, nicknamed the "Race of the Two Seas", is an elite road cycling stage race in Italy, run between the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic coasts. Traditionally held in the early part of the season, it is considered to be an important preparation for the Giro d'Italia. It is part of the UCI World Tour, cycling's highest level of professional men's races. First held in 1966, the race was held over three stages. Since 2002 it is held over seven stages. Vitus Pro Cycling Team p/b Brother UK () is a British UCI Continental cycling team. From 2010 to 2017, the team was sponsored by the Raleigh Bicycle Company, before Vitus took over the naming rights in 2018. Team history Founded in 2010 Team Raleigh–GAC's primary sponsor was the Raleigh Bicycle Company who supplied the team's bicycles. 2022 Giro D'Italia
The 2022 Giro d'Italia was the 105th edition of the Giro d'Italia, a three-week Grand Tour cycling stage race. The race started on 6 May in Budapest, Hungary, and finished on 29 May in Verona, Italy. The race was won by Jai Hindley of , taking his first Grand Tour victory and becoming the first Australian to win the Giro. Hindley came into the race as one of his team's three potential GC leaders before taking the team leadership when he won stage 9, which finished atop Blockhaus. Over the last half of the race, he emerged as one of the strongest climbers, staying within ten seconds of the race lead until stage 20 to Marmolada.
