Chepkoya is a village found in Kaptalelio sub-location, Kongit location, Kaptama division of Bungoma County in western Kenya. It borders a forest known as Chesamo. Many people in the village are farmers. It has the population of 2134 people according to the census conducted in 2009. Andrew Masai (born 13 December 1960) is a Kenyan former long-distance runner who competed in road running and cross country running events. He was one of Kenya's best cross country runners in the late 1980s, taking six team gold medals at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. His best individual finish at that competition was sixth in 1987. It has a population of 1,670,570 of which 812,146 are males 858,389 females as per the 2019 census and an area of 2,069 km2.
