Cheo Ramos
José "Cheo" Ramos was a Cuban professional baseball outfielder who played in the Negro leagues, Cuban League and minor league baseball in the 1910s and 1920s. Ramos made his professional debut in with Habana (baseball club), Habana of the Cuban League. In , he played Negro league baseball with the All Cubans, but spent the majority of the 1920s in the Cuban League with Habana and Almendares (baseball), Almendares. Ramos returned to the Negro leagues in , finishing his playing career with the Cuban Stars (East). He remained in the game as a manager (baseball), manager through the 1950s, skippering the Nicaragua national baseball team in . An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch Batted ball, fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the Baseball, bases.
