Chengdu Sports Center
The Chengdu Sports Center (), or Sichuan Provincial Sports Center (), is a sports complex with a multiuse stadium in Chengdu, China which is used mostly for soccer matches. The stadium holds 39,225 and opened on 28 December 1991; it was the home of the Chengdu Blades, a soccer club in China League One (the second tier of the Chinese soccer pyramid). It was one of the venues for the group stages of the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup. It hosted six games in total. The stadium has also held concerts. Past events include Canadian singer Avril Lavigne's Best Damn Tour on September 30, 2008, marking the first time a Western artist performed at the stadium, and also K-pop boy band BigBang's Made World Tour on August 14, 2015 in front of 30,000 fans. Made World Tour
The Made World Tour was the second worldwide concert tour and ninth overall by South Korean boy band Big Bang, in support of their third Korean-language studio album ''Made'' (2016). The tour began on April 25, 2015, and concluded on March 6, 2016, in Seoul, South Korea. It visited 15 countries including China, Japan, Australia, Mexico, and the United States. Background The tour was first announced on April 1, 2015, with the announcement of the first two concerts in Seoul on April 25 and 26. On April 16, the first trailer of the tour was released on YouTube. On April 27, the remainder of the Asian leg was revealed with a total of 30 shows. 2010 AFC Women's Asian Cup
The 2010 AFC Women's Asian Cup was held from 19–30 May at the Chengdu Sports Centre in China PR. The winners, Australia, runners-up, Korea DPR, and third-place team, Japan qualified for the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup. With this victory, Australia women's had become the first ever national team to win in two different confederations, having won the OFC Women's Nations Cup three times before.
