Chen Tianshi
Chen Tianshi (born June 1985) is a Chinese AI researcher and businessman. He is the CEO and co-founder of the artificial intelligence chip manufacturer Cambricon Technologies. In May 2025, ''Forbes'' estimated his net worth at US$11.6 billion. Biography Chen Tianshi comes from Jianxi Province. His father is an electrical engineer and his mother is a history teacher. His talent was noticed early on, and as a teenager he and his brother Chen Yunji were accepted into a special program for gifted students at the University of Science and Technology of China. He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics in 2005 and his PhD in computer science in 2010. His doctoral thesis received several awards. Cambricon Technologies (Cambricon; ) is a partially state-owned publicly listed Chinese technology company headquartered in Beijing. The company builds core processor chips and general-purpose graphics processing units (GPGPUs) for use in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
