Chegeni District ( fa, بخش چگنی) is a district (bakhsh) in Dowreh County, Lorestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 20,823, in 4,532 families. The District has one city: Sarab-e Dowreh. Provinces Of Iran
Iran is subdivided into thirty-one provinces ( fa, استان ''ostân''), each governed from a local centre, usually the largest local city, which is called the capital (Persian: , ''markaz'') of that province.
