Cheese
Cheese is a dairy product produced in wide ranges of flavors, textures, and forms by coagulation of the milk protein casein. It comprises proteins and fat from milk, usually the milk of cows, buffalo, goats, or sheep. During production, milk is usually acidified and the enzymes of either rennet or bacterial enzymes with similar activity are added to cause the casein to coagulate. The solid curds are then separated from the liquid whey and pressed into finished cheese. Some cheeses have aromatic molds on the rind, the outer layer, or throughout. Over a thousand types of cheese exist and are produced in various countries. Joseph James Cheeseman
Joseph James Cheeseman (March 7, 1843 – November 12, 1896) was the 12th president of Liberia. Born at Edina in Grand Bassa County, he was elected three times on the True Whig ticket. Cheeseman was educated at Liberia College (now University of Liberia). Chiesmans was a department store group based in Lewisham, London. The business was established in 1884 as a general draper, expanding to become the largest department store in south-east London and operator of a network of branches stretching from Essex to the Isle of Wight. The group was acquired by House of Fraser in 1976. The former Lewisham flagship store closed in 1997. Early history Chiesman Brothers was started by the brothers Frank and Harry Chiesman in September 1884 in Lewisham. They bought Cross Brothers drapery business at 59 High Street, Lewisham, which was known as Paris House, and specialised in the sales of remnants and job lots. The brothers changed the business, selling new lines across a variety of product categories in addition to drapery. The store expanded into neighbouring properties and in 1899, waiting rooms and a tea room were added to the store. Mount Cheeseman is a club snowfield in New Zealand's South Island, near the town of Springfield, about an hour and a half (111km) from Christchurch. Situated in a south-east-facing basin, it features two T-bar lifts and one learner tow. The runs cover an elevation range of 1570–1840 metres, with a distribution of 15% beginner slopes, 50% intermediate, and 35% advanced. Some of the slopes are groomed. There is accommodation for 68 people in the onsite Snowline Lodge, and for 38 in the nearby Forest Lodge. It is named for the botanist Thomas Frederic Cheeseman, who was curator of Auckland Museum and a recipient of the Linnean Medal. Peter Chisman (8 September 1940 – 23 October 2003) was a British racing cyclist who won the Tour of Britain - known then as the Milk Race - in 1963. He led the race from beginning to end. He also rode in the 1967 Tour de France. Biography Peter Chisman was born in Durham, England on 8 September 1940. Pete Chisman was known to friends as Chis. He started his career by winning his first race, a cyclo-cross near Durham. He rode on a bike borrowed from a friend. That led him to join the Houghton Wheelers club when he was 14.
