Michael Chaves
Michael Chaves (born November 3, 1978) is an American filmmaker and visual effects artist. He is best known for directing the horror films '' The Curse of La Llorona'' (2019), '' The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It'' (2021), and '' The Nun II'' (2023). Career Chaves began directing several short films including ''The Maiden'', which won the Best Super Short Horror Film Award at Shriekfest 2016. He also created the television series ''Chase Champion'', and directed all of the episodes. Chaves County is a county in New Mexico, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 65,157. Its county seat is Roswell. Chaves County was named for Colonel Jose Francisco Chaves, a military leader there during the Civil War and later in Navajo campaigns. The county was created by the New Mexico Territorial Legislature on February 25, 1889, out of land from Lincoln County. Chaves County comprises the Roswell, New Mexico Micropolitan Statistical Area. Chaves, Pará
Chaves is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of Pará. Its population as of 2020 is estimated to be 23,948 people. The area of the municipality is 13,084.879 km². The city belongs to the mesoregion Marajó and to the microregion of ''Arari''. Chaves is located near the point where the Amazon River enters the Atlantic Ocean. A number of islands are part of the municipality, the largest of which are Caviana and Mexiana. The municipality is contained in the Marajó Archipelago Environmental Protection Area, a sustainable use conservation unit established in 1989 to protect the environment of the delta region. In the 17th and 18th Century, the area was inhabited by the Aruã, mainly around the Ganhoão River. Most of them migrated to Amapá and French Guiana after the Treaty of the Mapuá. Pedro António Matos Chaves (; born 27 February 1965) is a Portuguese racing driver. Chaves was the second Portuguese Formula Ford Champion, in 1986, starting an international career in 1987 in the British Formula Ford Championship. In 1990 he won the British F3000 Championship with the Madgwick Motorsport outfit, also racing in a few rounds of the FIA F3000 series. Ñuflo de Chaves or Ñuflo de Chávez (1518–1568) was a Spanish conquistador. He is best known for founding the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra in (what is today) Bolivia. Early life Ñuflo de Chaves was born and grew up in the small Spanish village of ''Santa Cruz de la Sierra ("Holy Cross of the Mountains")'', some 12 km south of Trujillo in the Extremadura region in Spain.
