Chaudhry Mohammad Siddique
Chaudhry Mohammad Siddique was a Pakistani jurist who served on the Lahore High Court bench from 1971 to 1978. He also served as the Federal Shariat Court judge from 1981 to 1985. Early life and education Chaudhry Mohammad Siddique was born in 1916 in Lahore. He received his L.L.B. degree from the Punjab University Law College in 1943. Career Siddique began his legal career in Lahore in 1947. Later, he was appointed District Liaison Officer for the Ambala and Shimla districts, during which he was severely injured while assisting in the resettlement of refugees and the recovery of abducted Muslim women. Siddique resumed his legal practice in 1949, focusing on constitutional cases, and was appointed to the Lahore High Court in 1971. He retired from the bench in 1978 and subsequently served as chairman of the Punjab Election Authority and the Appellate Tribunal Bench in 1979, and as a judge of the Federal Shariat Court from 1981 to 1985. The Lahore High Court () is based in Lahore, Pakistan. It was established as a high court on 21 March 1882. The Lahore High Court has jurisdiction over Punjab (Pakistan). The High Court's principal seat is in Lahore, but there are benches in three other Pakistani cities: Rawalpindi, Multan and Bahawalpur. A proposal was sent by lawyers to set up new high court benches in Faisalabad, Sialkot, D.G.Khan and Gujranwala divisions but full court of Lahore High Court turned down this request. Federal Shariat Court
The Federal Shariat Court (FSC) is a constitutional court of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which has the power to examine and determine whether the laws of the country comply with Sharia law. The court was established in 1980 during the government of the President General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq. It is located in the federal capital, Islamabad. It hears appeals under the Hudood Ordinances, a religious legislation in the country introduced in 1979. Honourable Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday (Punjabi, ) is a Pakistani jurist who served as judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He remained permanent judge of Supreme Court from 2002 to 2010. He was born in Lahore on 13 January 1945. His late brother Chaudhary Muhammad Farooq had served as the Attorney General of Pakistan.
