Chau Hoi Wah
Chau Hoi Wah (, also known as Cathy Chau Hoi Wah; born 5 June 1986) is a Hong Kong badminton player, specializes in doubles play. She was the first ever Hong Kong player that won the Asian Championships in 2014, and also a bronze medalist at the World Championships in 2017 alongside Lee Chun Hei. She competed at the Asian Games for four consecutive times from 2006 to 2018, and also in 2016 Summer Olympics. Career Born in Hong Kong, Chau moved to Canada together with her family when she was 9 years old. She returned to Hong Kong in 2005, and joining national training center. Partnered with Lee Chun Hei, she made a history for Hong Kong badminton, as the first ever Hong Kong player that won the Asian Championships in 2014. Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racket (sports equipment), racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net (device), net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton has been one of the regular Asian Games sports since 1962 in Jakarta, Indonesia. History Badminton made its debut in the Asian Games as a demonstration sport at the 1958 Asian Games in Tokyo, Japan, and became a regular competitive sport in 1962. In the 1962 Games, six events were held, with singles, doubles and team event for both men and women. The mixed doubles event was added in 1966 Asian Games. There was a playoff between the two semifinal losers to determine the sole winner of the bronze medal in 1962; but since 1966, two bronze medals per event are awarded in each event (except in 1974). Zhao Yunlei
Zhao Yunlei (born 25 August 1986) is a mixed and women's doubles badminton player from China. She graduated with a BA from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. She is the first and only badminton player to have ever won two gold medals in the same Olympic edition, winning in both the mixed and women's doubles categories in Badminton at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2012. Zhao joins the ranks with nine other players with two Olympic gold medals, the highest number of gold medals won by any badminton player. Zhang Nan (badminton)
Zhang Nan (; born 1 March 1990) is a Chinese former professional badminton player who specializes in both men's and mixed doubles. He found much success in mixed doubles with his former partner Zhao Yunlei. They won gold in 2012 Summer Olympics, 3 golds in BWF World Championships in 2011, 2014 and 2015 and a gold at the 2014 Asian Games. Having won all major events as a pair, they are considered one of the most successful mixed doubles pairs of all time. Zhang Nan himself is considered to be one of the all-time greats of badminton. The Taipei Arena () is a multi-purpose stadium in the capital Taipei, Taiwan, and it is operated by the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC). Liliyana Natsir (born 9 September 1985) is an Indonesian badminton player who specialized in doubles. She is one of the standout front court player, with dexterousness and skill in controlling and executing the shuttlecock. Natsir has tremendous record over more than two decade by winning a gold and a silver from the Badminton at the Summer Olympics, Olympic Games, and four gold medals at the BWF World Championships. Tontowi Ahmad (born 18 July 1987) is a retired Indonesian badminton player. He plays for PB. Djarum, a badminton club in Kudus, Central Java and joined the club in 2005. Tontowi Ahmad rose to prominence in the world badminton in 2010 when he paired with the established mixed doubles star Liliyana Natsir.
