Chasing Dogma
''Chasing Dogma'' is a comic book mini-series that chronicles the events of the two fictional stoners Jay and Silent Bob between two of their films: ''Chasing Amy'' and ''Dogma''. Elements of the plot, such as the stealing of a monkey, were canibalized and written into the film ''Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back'', calling into question the comic book's canonicity. The series was written by Kevin Smith, creator of View Askew Productions. It was originally published by Oni Press in four issues as ''Jay & Silent Bob'' in 1998 and 1999, and later collected in a trade paperback by Image Comics. Plot Jay and Silent Bob get the idea that if they go to the town of Shermer, Illinois, where most of John Hughes' movies take place, they could get chicks and be the "blunt connection". In comics in the United States, a trade paperback (shortened: TPB or trade) is a collection of stories originally published in comic books, reprinted in book format, usually presenting either a complete miniseries, a story arc from a single title, or a series of stories with an arc or common theme. A trade paperback may reproduce the stories either at the same size in which they were originally presented (in comic book format), in a smaller " digest-sized" format, or a larger-than-original hardcover. ''Mallrats'' is a 1995 American buddy comedy film written and directed by Kevin Smith and starring Jason Lee, Jeremy London, Shannen Doherty, Claire Forlani, Ben Affleck, Jason Mewes, Joey Lauren Adams, Michael Rooker, and Smith as Silent Bob. A bowl, when referred to in pipe smoking, is the part of a smoking pipe or bong that is used to hold tobacco, cannabis, or other substances. The exterior surface of the bowl of some pipes may be fashioned with some kind of design. ''Magic Eye'' is a series of books that feature autostereograms. After creating its first images in 1991, creator Tom Baccei worked with Tenyo, a Japanese company that sells magic supplies. Tenyo published its first book in late 1991 titled ''Miru Miru Mega Yokunaru Magic Eye'' ("Your Eyesight Gets Better & Better in a Very Short Rate of Time: Magic Eye"), sending sales representatives out to street corners to demonstrate how to see the hidden image.
