Chase Hunter
Chase Hunter (born April 8, 2001) is an American college basketball player for the Clemson Tigers men's basketball, Clemson Tigers of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). High school career Hunter attended Westlake High School (Georgia), Westlake High School in South Fulton, Georgia. Following his high school career, he committed to play college basketball at Clemson University over offers from Georgia Bulldogs basketball, Georgia, Michigan State Spartans men's basketball, Michigan State, Oklahoma Sooners men's basketball, Oklahoma, and Virginia Cavaliers men's basketball, Virginia. College career Hunter began his college career dealing with injuries. Hunter began to have a breakout year as a redshirt junior, totaling 23 points and seven assists in the 2022–23 season opener. A shooting guard's main objective is to score points for their team and steal the ball on defense. Shooting guards typically play the "wing" of the court and are generally expected to play better in isolation than other positions. Some shooting guards are tasked with being a "spot up" shooter, in which they are assigned to catch and shoot the ball, either on an open shot or in transition. They are also expected to have skills driving to the basket or creating separation on an isolation defender.
