Charyl Marlyz Chacón Ramírez is a pageant titleholder, was born in Lima, Peru on July 5, 1985, and grew up in Maracay, Aragua state, Venezuela. She was the official winner of the Señorita Deporte Venezuela 2007 (Miss Sports Venezuela) pageant held in Caracas, Venezuela on August 15, 2007. Chacón represented the Araya Peninsula in the Miss Venezuela 2008 pageant, on September 10, 2008. Maracay
Maracay () is a city in north-central Venezuela, near the Caribbean coast, and is the capital and most important city of the state of Aragua. Araya Peninsula
The Araya Peninsula is a peninsula on the Caribbean Sea, located in Sucre State, northern Venezuela. It extends westward and encloses a long bay which opens to the west. To the north is Margarita Island The town of Araya is located on its westernmost extremity. The peninsula is part of the eastern Serranía del Litoral mountain range, in the Venezuelan Coastal Ranges System of the northern Andes. Miss Venezuela 2008
Miss Venezuela 2008 was the 55th Miss Venezuela pageant, held at the Poliedro de Caracas in Caracas, Venezuela, on September 10, 2008. Dayana Mendoza of Amazonas crowned Stefania Fernández of Trujillo as her successor at the end of the event. On July 29, Osmel Sousa assumed further control of the selection process by directly appointing the 28 final contestants from a pool of 73 candidates. Although winners of regional and state contests have never been guaranteed participation in the final Miss Venezuela pageant, this direct selection resulted in the unprecedented elimination of the representatives of Falcón, Lara, Sucre, Vargas and Nueva Esparta.
