Charlie Ross (antiques Expert)
Charlie Ross (born June 1950 in Buckinghamshire, England) is a British antiques expert, presenter and auctioneer, known for regular appearances on several BBC Antique programmes. Professional career Ross started his career in 1963 after leaving school joining a local firm of estate agents and found himself auctioning chickens and turkeys. He progressed from these to antique furniture, and later established his own auction house in Woburn, Bedfordshire, Woburn near Milton Keynes.He stood down in February 2008. Ross appears on television as an antiques expert on the BBC programmes ''Bargain Hunt'', ''Flog It!'', ''Antiques Road Trip'' and ''Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is (TV series), Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is''. He is now one of the five regular presenters on ''Bargain Hunt''. Lord's Taverners
The Lord's Taverners is a UK youth cricket and disability sports charity. Its charitable objective is to empower and positively impact the lives of young people facing challenges of inequality. Great Ormond Street Hospital (informally GOSH, formerly the Hospital for Sick Children) is a children's hospital located in the Bloomsbury area of the London Borough of Camden, and a part of Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. The Celebs are a celebrity supergroup created by Grahame and Jack Corbyn with the intention of raising money for charity. The group was formed in 2018 and consists of a changing mix of TV presenters, musicians, radio DJs, actors and sports personalities. History In 2018, the initial lineup of 27 celebrities recorded an original Christmas song, "Rock with Rudolph", written and produced by Grahame and Jack Corbyn, in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Sleigh Ride
"Sleigh Ride" is a Light music, light orchestra Standard (music), standard composed by Leroy Anderson. He formed the idea for the piece during a heat wave in July 1946, and finished it in February 1948. Its first performance was by the Boston Pops Orchestra, with Arthur Fiedler conducting, on May 4, 1948. Anderson also made arrangements for Concert band, wind band and piano. The original recordings were instrumental versions: it was first recorded in 1949 by Fiedler and the Boston Pops. As a 45 rpm version issued on red vinyl, "Sleigh Ride" was a hit record on RCA Red Seal Records, RCA Victor Red Seal and has become one of the orchestra's best-known works. The Pops have recorded the piece numerous times, with Fiedler as well as John Williams, their conductor from 1979 to 1995, and Keith Lockhart, their current conductor. Philip Serrell
Philip Martyn Serrell (born March 1954) is an English auctioneer, antiques expert and television presenter who appears as regular presenter on BBC TV antiques programmes such as '' Bargain Hunt'' and '' Flog It!''. He began his career as a livestock trade auctioneer, but he became a chartered surveyor in 1988 to analyse antiques. Serrell has also participated in musical charity events, performing as a singer with The Celebs. Early life Serrell was born in Worcestershire into a farming family and attended the Royal Grammar School in Worcester, where he was a schoolmate of the Pakistani cricket captain Imran Khan. Serrell played both cricket and rugby for the school, prior to his attendance at, and graduation from, Loughborough College of Physical Education as a physical education teacher.
