Charlie McCarthy (hurler)
Charles McCarthy (born 1946) is an Irish former Hurling, hurler who played as a left corner-forward at senior level for the Cork county hurling team, Cork county team. Born in Cork (city), Tower Street, Cork, McCarthy first played competitive hurling during his schooling at Sullivan's Quay CBS. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Cork minor teams as a dual player, before later joining the under-21 hurling side. He made his senior debut during the 1965 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, 1965 championship. McCarthy immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won five All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, All-Ireland medals, nine Munster Senior Hurling Championship, Munster medals and four National Hurling League medals. Ballyhale Shamrocks is a Gaelic games club located in the parish of Ballyhale in County Kilkenny, Ireland. It is a member of the Kilkenny branch of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). Founded in 1972, the club was a amalgamation of three teams Ballyhale, Knocktopher and Knockmoylan. Roscrea GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Roscrea, County Tipperary, Ireland. The club is affiliated to the North Tipperary Board and is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. Jimmy Barry-Murphy
James Barry-Murphy (; born 22 August 1954) is an Irish hurling manager and former hurler and Gaelic footballer. He was the manager of the senior Cork county hurling team from 2011 to 2015, returning a decade after his first tenure as manager. Barry-Murphy is regarded as one of the best-known players in the history of Gaelic games. He established himself as a dual player with the St Finbarr's club. Rathnure St Anne's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Rathnure, County Wexford, Ireland. Rathnure's most famous players are the Rackards and Quigley brothers. Sixmilebridge is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Sixmilebridge, County Clare, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. History Sixmilebridge GAA Club was founded in 1904. Con Roche
Cornelius Roche (born 1946) is an Irish former hurler, manager and selector. He played for Cork Senior Championship club St Finbarr's and was a member of the Cork senior hurling team for ten years, during which time he usually lined out as a left wing-back. Roche began his hurling career at club level with St Finbarr's. He broke onto the club's top adult team as a 17-year-old in 1963 and had his first success two years later when the club won the 1965 Cork Championship, before claiming further titles in 1968, 1974 and 1977. The highlight of Roche's club career came in 1975 when he was at midfield on the All-Ireland Championship-winning team. At inter-county level, Roche was part of the successful Cork minor team that won the All-Ireland Championship in 1964 before later winning an All-Ireland Championship with the under-21 team in 1966.
