Charlie Lazzaro
Charlie Jordan Lazzaro (born 25 March 2002) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited by with the 36th draft pick in the 2020 AFL draft. Early football Lazzaro started his junior football at the St Mary's Sporting Club in Geelong, where he played with long time friend and future AFL player Oliver Henry. Lazzaro attended school at Geelong College in Newtown, where he played his Football in the APS school system. Lazzaro captained the Under 16 Victorian Country Team that played in Gold Coast in 2018. Lazzaro won Geelong College's Best and Fairest in year 10 and 11 before Covid-19 affected his draft year in year 12. He also played for the Geelong Falcons in the NAB League, where he totalled 8 games and an average of 20 disposals. Geelong Falcons
The Geelong Falcons is a youth Australian rules football representative club in the NAB League, the Victorian statewide under-18s competition, Victoria, Australia. The club takes in talented junior players from the Geelong, Colac and Warrnambool regions in order to prepare them for AFL selection. There is an under-15 V-Line cup side and an under-16 side, but the club's main focus is its under-18 side, who play a longer season. In 2007, Jimmy Bartel became the first ex-Falcon to win the AFL Brownlow Medal, for the league's best and fairest player, while Jonathan Brown became the first ex-Falcon to win the Coleman Medal for the most goals in the season. 2021 AFL Season
The 2021 AFL season was the 125th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior men's Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs, ran from 18 March until 25 September, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. The season was played during the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic, and saw disruptions but to a much lesser extent than the 2020 season. The NAB League Boys (also referred to as simply the NAB League and formerly known as the TAC Cup) is an under-19 Australian rules football representative competition held in Australia. It is based on geographic regions throughout country Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne with each team representing twelve Victorian regions, while a thirteenth team from Tasmania was reintroduced in 2019. Oliver Henry (born 29 July 2002) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL), having initially been recruited by with the 17th draft pick in the 2020 AFL draft. Early football Henry played for the St Mary's Sporting Club growing up. In his 2016 season with the club in the Under 14 division, he played 14 games and kicked 15 goals. He attended school at St Joseph's College, Geelong. While at St Joseph’s, he formed close friendships with future AFL players Charlie Lazzaro and Tanner Bruhn. He played for the Geelong Falcons in the NAB League, where he participated in 15 matches, kicking 18 goals. St Mary's Sporting Club
St Mary's Sporting Club Inc., nicknamed the ''Saints'', is an Australian rules football and netball club based in the port city of Geelong, Victoria. The club teams currently compete in the Geelong Football Netball League, the premier league in the region. History Earlier club A version of this club existed from 1904 to 1906. They competed in the Church Union Association and won the 1905 Church Union Association premiership.
