Charlie Collins (musician)
Charlie Collins (born Charlene Joyce Bailey, 27 January 1988) is an Australian singer and songwriter. For her solo debut album, ''Snowpine'' (June 2019), she was nominated for the 2019 ARIA Award for Best Country Album. Biography 1988-2007: Early life and The Baileys Charlene Joyce Bailey was born in 1988 in Sydney to an Indian family. She then moved to Tamworth and grew up on a nearby farm with her older siblings, Kurt (born 1986) and Crystal (born 1985), who are also musicians. The three siblings formed a group, the Baileys, in Tamworth in 2001 with Collins on lead vocals and guitar, Kurt on drums and Crystal on vocals and mandolin. They were later joined by Daniel Conway on lead guitar and vocals and Lindsay Dallas on bass guitar to provide a sound, which "embraces country, pop, rock and white-eyed soul." 2008-2010: Chasing Bailey By July 2008 they were renamed, Chasing Bailey, a "five-piece pop rock band." Westmead Hospital is a major tertiary hospital in Sydney, Australia. Opened on 10 November 1978, the 975-bed hospital forms part of the Western Sydney Local Health District, and is a teaching hospital of Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney. ARIA Award For Best Blues And Roots Album
The ARIA Music Award for Best Blues and Roots Album, is an award presented at the annual ARIA Music Awards, which recognises "the many achievements of Aussie artists across all music genres", since 1987. It is handed out by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), an organisation whose aim is "to advance the interests of the Australian record industry." To be eligible, the recording must be an album in the contemporary and traditional blues genres, and contemporary adaptations of Australian traditional music and/or folklore. The submitted work cannot be entered in other genre categories. The 2022 ARIA Music Awards were the 36th Annual Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (generally known as ARIA Music Awards or simply The ARIAs) and consist of a series of awards, including the 2022 ARIA Artisan Awards, ARIA Fine Arts Awards and the ARIA Awards. The 2020 AIR Awards was the fourteenth annual Australian Independent Record Labels Association Music Awards ceremony (generally known as the AIR Awards). It took place on 1 October 2020 in Adelaide. The nominations were revealed on 7 July 2020, consisting of sixteen categories, up four from twelve, as was the case in 2019. The four new categories were: Best Independent Pop Album or EP, Best Independent Rock Album or EP, Best Independent Children's Album or EP, and Best Independent Soul/R&B Album or EP.
