Charles "Trip" Tucker III, portrayed by Connor Trinneer, is a Character (arts), fictional character in the Television program, television series ''Star Trek: Enterprise''. Tucker was the chief engineer on the ''Enterprise (NX-01), Enterprise'' and also briefly served in the same role aboard the Enterprise's sister ship ''Home (Star Trek: Enterprise), Columbia''. Lieutenant general Sir Charles Tucker, (6 December 1838 – 22 December 1935) was a British Army officer during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Early life and family Tucker was born at The Hall, Ashburton, Devon, son of Robert Tucker, and was educated at Marlborough College. He married first, in 1865, Matilda Frederica Hayter (died 1897), daughter of John Hayter, Painter-in-Ordinary to Queen Victoria, and secondly, in 1902, Nelly O'Connell, only daughter of Sir Maurice O'Connell, 2nd Bt. The siege of Sidney Street of January 1911, also known as the Battle of Stepney, was a Shootout, gunfight in the East End of London between a combined police and army force and two Latvians, Latvian revolutionaries. The siege was the culmination of a series of events that began in December 1910, with an attempted jewellery robbery at Houndsditch in the City of London by a gang of Latvian immigrants which resulted in the murder of three policemen, the wounding of two others, and the death of George Gardstein, the leader of the Latvian gang. An investigation by the Metropolitan Police Service, Metropolitan and City of London Police forces identified Gardstein's accomplices, most of whom were arrested within two weeks. The police were informed that the last two members of the gang were hiding at 100 Sidney Street in Stepney.
