Charles Paris
Charles S. Paris (September 25, 1911 – March 19, 1994) was an American comic book artist who predominantly worked as an inker, mainly for DC Comics. Early life Paris was born in 1911, and moved to New York City in 1934.Biography by Joe Desris, in ''Batman Archives'', Volume 3 (DC Comics, 1994), p. 224 In Spring 1941, Paris met Jack Lehti, and soon after began work inking and lettering Lehti's ''Crimson Avenger'' in the pages of ''Detective Comics''. From there, Paris started work in the DC 'bullpen', inking characters such as Airwave, and later working on Vigilante and Johnny Quick, among other characters. Batman He worked with Bob Kane on the 1943-46 Batman and Robin newspaper strip, inking most of its run. When that strip ended, Paris was employed by DC Comics as an inker on a number of Batman comic stories and covers, predominantly inking the work of Sheldon Moldoff and Dick Sprang. Metamorpho (Rex Mason) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Bob Haney and Ramona Fradon, the character debuted as the lead feature in The Brave and the Bold, ''The Brave and the Bold'' (January 1965). Originally an adventurer, he was converted into a man made of a shifting mass of chemicals after being cursed by an ancient artifact while on an expedition. Bob Kane
Robert Kane ( Kahn ; October 24, 1915 – November 3, 1998) was an American comic book writer, animator, and artist who created Batman and many early related characters for DC Comics. He was inducted into the comic book industry's Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1993 and into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1996. Early life Kahn was born in New York City. His parents, Augusta ( Tuchman) and Herman Kahn, an engraver, were of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. A high school friend of fellow cartoonist and future Spirit creator Will Eisner, Robert Kahn graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School and then legally changed his name to Robert Kane. He studied art at Cooper Union before joining the Max Fleischer Studio as a trainee animator in the year of 1934. ''Batman'' is an ongoing American comic book series featuring the DC Comics superhero Batman as its protagonist. The character, created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, first appeared in ''Detective Comics'' #27 (cover dated May 1939). Batman proved to be so popular that a self-titled ongoing comic book series began publication with a cover date of spring 1940. It was first advertised in early April 1940, one month after the first appearance of his new sidekick, Robin (character), Robin the Boy Wonder. Batman comics have proven to be popular since the 1940s. Though the ''Batman'' comic book was launched as a quarterly publication, it later became a bimonthly series through the late 1950s, after which it became a monthly publication. Batmite
Bat-Mite is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Bat-Mite is an imp similar to the Superman villain Mister Mxyzptlk. Depicted as a small, childlike man in an ill-fitting copy of Batman's costume, Bat-Mite possesses what appear to be near-infinite magical powers which could be considered nigh-omnipotence, but he actually uses highly advanced technology from the fifth dimension that cannot be understood by humans' limited three-dimensional views. Unlike Mxyzptlk, Bat-Mite idolizes his superhero target and thus he has visited Batman on various occasions, often setting up strange and ridiculous events so that he could see his hero in action. Bat-Mite is more of a nuisance than a supervillain, and often departs of his own accord upon realizing that he has angered his idol.
