Charles Morgan (automaker)
Charles Peter Henry Morgan (born 29 July 1951) is the former managing director of the Morgan Motor Company, a UK car manufacturer. The grandson of the founder of the company, H.F.S. Morgan, and the son of the company's former chairman Peter Morgan, Charles Morgan, who had been educated at Oundle public school in the 1960s, joined the family firm full-time in 1985. Morgan Motor Company
Morgan Motor Company Limited is a British automobile, motor car manufacturer owned by a British investment group Investindustrial. Morgan was founded in 1910 by H. F. S. Morgan, Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan. Morgan is itself based in Malvern Link, an area of Malvern, Worcestershire, Malvern, and employs approximately 220 people. Morgan produce 850 cars per year, all assembled by hand. The waiting list for a car is approximately six months, but it has sometimes been as long as ten years. Morgan cars are unusual in that wood has been used in their construction for a century, and is still used in the 21st century for framing the body shell. A visitor centre and museum have exhibits about the company's history from Edwardian times until the present day, developments in automobile technology, and a display of automobiles. Peter Morgan (automaker)
Peter Henry Geoffrey Morgan (3 November 1919 – 20 October 2003) was an English sports car manufacturer and Chairman of Morgan Motor Company (MMC) from 1959 until his death in 2003. Peter inherited the Malvern, Worcestershire-based company from his father H.F.S. Morgan. Despite pressures to "modernize", he maintained the family firm's traditions of hand-crafted workmanship and slow organic growth until his son Charles took over as managing director. Morgan was born in Chestnut Villa, his parents' house which was adjacent to the car factory in Malvern Link and where he grew up alongside his four sisters. He attended a local preparatory school, the Link School, before going to Oundle School in Northamptonshire. Troubleshooter (TV Series)
Troubleshooter is a British reality television series, produced and broadcast by the BBC from 27 March 1990. It was hosted by Sir John Harvey-Jones, formerly of ICI, who visited and advised struggling UK businesses. The series won a BAFTA, and made Harvey-Jones "the most famous industrialist since Isambard Kingdom Brunel". The greatest achievement of the ''Troubleshooter'' was to make business management a popular discussion subject in the homes of millions of British people, and to provide a role model for people wanting to enter business. A follow-up series titled ''Troubleshooter – Back in Business'' aired in 2000 and saw Sir John return to companies featured in the original series from a decade before.
