Charles Minlend
Charles Arnaud Minlend (born May 15, 1973) is a Cameroonian-Canadian former professional basketball player. A 6-foot-6 forward, he played his four years of college basketball at St. John's over 5 seasons (he redshirted one year). After going undrafted in the 1997 NBA draft he started his professional career in France where he played in the LNB Pro B with Poissy-Chatou and then moved to the LNB Pro A where he spent two seasons. He then played three seasons in Israel with Maccabi Givat Shmuel, and was named the 2003 Israeli Basketball Premier League MVP after being the top scorer in 2003 (25.3 points per game). After leaving Israel he moved to South Korea, where he played four seasons and won another scoring title in 2004. He retired in 2008 after playing one season in Ukraine. Forward (basketball)
In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. 1997 NBA Draft
The 1997 NBA draft took place on June 25, 1997, at Charlotte Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Vancouver Grizzlies had the highest probability to win the NBA draft lottery, but since they were an expansion team along with the Toronto Raptors they were not allowed to select first in this draft. Although the Boston Celtics had the second-worst record in the 1996–97 season and the best odds (36 percent) of winning the lottery with two picks, the Spurs lost David Robinson and Sean Elliott to injury early in the season, finished with the third-worst record, and subsequently won the lottery. UConn Huskies Men's Basketball
The UConn Huskies men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball team of the University of Connecticut, in Storrs, Connecticut. They currently play in the Big East Conference (Big East) and are coached by Dan Hurley. The Huskies have won 4 NCAA tournament championships (1999, 2004, 2011 and 2014), which puts the program in a tie with Kansas for sixth-most all-time. Richmond Spiders Men's Basketball
The Richmond Spiders men's basketball team represents the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia and currently competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The team plays its home games at the Robins Center. The team last played in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2022 under head coach Chris Mooney, who has guided the program since the 2005–2006 season. The Boston College Eagles are a Division I college basketball program that represents Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, United States. The team has competed in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) since 2005, having previously played in the Big East.
