Charles L. Munns
Charles L. Munns, retired as a Vice admiral (United States), Vice Admiral in the United States Navy. Munns held several posts including Commander, United States Submarine Forces (COMNAVSUBFOR) and Commander, Submarine Force Atlantic (ComSubLant, COMSUBLANT). Munns served as commander of the U.S. submarine force from 2004–2007. For the academic year 2023–2024 academic year, Munns serves as the Executive in Residence for the University of South Carolina Aiken School of Business Administration. Education Munns graduated with distinction in 1973 from the United States Naval Academy with a bachelor of science degree, majoring in physics. Munns received a master's of science in Computer Science from the University of Colorado in 1980. United States Fleet Forces Command
The United States Fleet Forces Command (USFF) is a service component command of the United States Navy that provides naval forces to a wide variety of U.S. forces. The naval resources may be allocated to Combatant Commanders such as United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) under the authority of the Secretary of Defense. Originally formed as United States Atlantic Fleet (USLANTFLT) in 1906, it has been an integral part of the defense of the United States of America since the early 20th century. The United States Naval Academy (USNA) is an undergraduate college in Annapolis, Maryland with the mission of educating and commissioning officers for the United States Navy and Marine Corps.
