Charles Frederick Cunningham Macaskie
Brigadier (United Kingdom), Brigadier Charles Frederick Cunningham Macaskie (26 March 1888 – 26 November 1969) was an English people, English barrister who served as the first Chief Justice of North Borneo. Career In 1910, Macaskie had remained in the British protectorate of North Borneo after the First World War ended to work as a British government official. Between 1934 and 1945, he served as the Chief Justice and Deputy Governor of North Borneo. After the Japanese occupation of British Borneo, Macaskie returned and was appointed chief civil affairs officer for the period 1945-1946 and was later made commissioner for war damage claims for the Borneo Territories between 1947 and 1951. After he left North Borneo, Macaskie held the position of acting British judge at New Hebrides (now Vanuatu) in 1955, 1958 and 1959. Spielplatz (German for playground) is the longest-operating naturist resort in United Kingdom, and consists of located in the village of Bricket Wood, in the English county of Hertfordshire. Kota Kinabalu (; formerly known as Jesselton), colloquially referred to as KK, is the state capital of Sabah, Malaysia. New Hebrides
New Hebrides, officially the New Hebrides Condominium () and named after the Hebrides in Scotland, was the colonial name for the island group in the South Pacific Ocean that is now Vanuatu. Native people had inhabited the islands for three thousand years before the first Europeans arrived in 1606 from a Spanish expedition led by Portuguese navigator Pedro Fernandes de Queirós. The islands were named by Captain James Cook in 1774 and subsequently colonised by both the British and the French. Before the outbreak of World War II in the Pacific, the island of Borneo was divided into five territories. North Borneo (usually known as British North Borneo, also known as the State of North Borneo) was a British Protectorate, British protectorate in the northern part of the island of Borneo, (present-day Sabah). The territory of North Borneo was originally established by concession (territory), concessions of the Sultanates of Bruneian Empire, Brunei and Sultanate of Sulu, Sulu in 1877 and 1878 to a German Empire, German-born representative of Austria-Hungary, businessman and diplomat, Gustav Overbeck.
