Charles Cobb (cricketer)
Charles Edward Cobb (24 May 1863 – 6 July 1922) was an English cricketer. Cobb was a right-handed batsman who fielded as a wicket-keeper. He was born in Adderbury, Oxfordshire. He was educated at Rugby School, where he represented the school cricket team. Cobb made his debut for Buckinghamshire in the 1895 Minor Counties Championship against Oxfordshire, in what was Buckinghamshire's first Minor Counties Championship match. Cobb played Minor counties cricket for Buckinghamshire from 1895 to 1903, which included 44 Minor Counties Championship matches. On occasion he captained Buckinghamshire. Cobb played his only first-class match for AJ Webbe's XI in 1900 against Oxford University. In this match, he scored 17 runs in the team's first innings, before being dismissed by Francis Humphrys. Adderbury
Adderbury is a winding linear village and rural civil parish about south of Banbury in northern Oxfordshire, England. The settlement has five sections: the new Milton Road housing Development & West Adderbury towards the southwest; East Adderbury to the centre, both with a village green and a manor house; and the new housing Development on the Aynho Road; and the northeast, which is known as Twyford, named after a small outlying settlement by a forked section of the River Cherwell. East and West Adderbury are divided by the south- then east-flowing Sor Brook, a tributary of the Cherwell. Oxford University Cricket Club
Oxford University Cricket Club (OUCC), which represents the University of Oxford, has always held first-class status since 1827 when it made its debut in the inaugural University Match between OUCC and Cambridge University Cricket Club (CUCC). It was classified as a List A team in 1973 only. Home fixtures are played at the University Parks slightly northeast of Oxford city centre. I Zingari
I Zingari (from dialectalized Italian , meaning "the Gypsies"; corresponding to standard Italian ') are English and Australian amateur cricket clubs, founded in 1845 and 1888 respectively. It is the oldest and perhaps the most famous of the 'wandering' cricket clubs (without a home ground), and is well known for its historically aristocratic membership and its colours of black, red and gold, symbolising the motto "Out of darkness, through fire, into light". Frank Knox (cricketer)
Frank Pery Knox (23 January 1880 – 1 February 1960) was an English first-class cricketer active 1899–1902 who played for Surrey. He was born in Clapham, the fifth son of Sir Ralph Henry Knox, a civil servant and former cricketer, and Georgina Augusta Chance. Neville Knox was his younger brother. He was educated at Dulwich College and Corpus Christi College, Oxford, and died in Hove.
