Charin Nanthanakhon
Charin Nanthanakorn (formerly Charin Ngam-muang) (1 February 1933 – 20 August 2024) was a Thai artist, singer, actor, film director, and producer. He was recognized by the National Cultural Commission as a National Artist Performing Arts in 1998 (International Thai Songs - Sing). His second marriage was with Petchara Chaowarat, a former actor in Thailand and a National Artist Performing Arts, nicknamed "Heroine Eyes Honey Drops". Charin Nantanakorn co-created the song "Psalm Maharaja", which won him the "Conch Ngern" honorary award for using art to create patriotism and support the monarchy. Nantanakorn sang international Thai songs mixed with traditional Thai songs. He recorded about 1,500 songs. Petchara Chaowarat
Petchara Chaowarat ( Thai: เพชรา เชาวราษฎร์; born 19 January 1943 in Rayong Province, Thailand) is a Thai actress who starred in around 300 films from 1961 to 1979. An icon of the "Golden Age" of Thai cinema, she was known for her round, pool-like eyes and elaborate hairstyles. Petchara was named a National Artist of Thailand in 2018. Career Her first film and starring role was in ''Banthuk Rak Pimchawee'' ('Love Diary of Pimchawee'), in 1961. She co-starred with popular leading man, Mitr Chaibancha, and they proved to be popular pair, starring together in more than 150 films. The National Artist ( th, ศิลปินแห่งชาติ, , ) is a title given annually by the Office of the National Culture Commission of Thailand, recognizing notable Thai artists in the area of intangible cultural heritage such as literature, fine arts, visual arts, applied arts ( architecture, design) and performing arts ( Thai dance, international dance, puppetry, shadow play, Thai music, international music, drama and film). Since 1985, the honors have been presented on 24 February, "National Artist Day", in Thailand. Dara Academy ( th, โรงเรียนดาราวิทยาลัย), is a private coeducational Christian school in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It currently serves 6,000 students from pre-kindergarten to grade 12. History Dara Academy was founded in 1878 by Presbyterian missionaries Rev. Dr. Daniel McGilvary and Sophie McGilvery. Montfort College ( th, มงฟอร์ตวิทยาลัย) is a private Catholic school in Chiang Mai, Thailand. History The Brothers of St. Gabriel came to Chiang Mai and established Montfort Primary School in 1932 along Charoen Prathet Road on a plot of land provided by Bishop Peross from Luang Anusarn Suntorn who gave his financial support at no interest.
