Chapra, Nadia (community Development Block)
Chapra is a community development block that forms an administrative division in Krishnanagar Sadar subdivision of Nadia district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Geography Chapra is located at . Chapra CD Block is bounded by Tehatta I CD Block in the north, Damurhuda Upazila in Chuadanga District of Bangladesh in the east, Krishnaganj and Krishnanagar I CD Blocks, in the south and Krishnanagar II and Nakashipara CD Blocks in the west. Nadia district is mostly alluvial plains lying to the east of Hooghly River, locally known as Bhagirathi. The alluvial plains are cut across by such distributaries as Jalangi, Churni and Ichhamati. With these rivers getting silted up, floods are a recurring feature. Chapra CD Block has an area of 305.97 km2. Chapra is a census town and a gram panchayat in the Chapra CD block in the Krishnanagar Sadar subdivision of the Nadia district in the state of West Bengal, India. Geography Location Chapra is located at . Area overview Nadia district is mostly alluvial plains lying to the east of Hooghly River, locally known as Bhagirathi. The alluvial plains are cut across by such distributaries as Jalangi, Churni and Ichhamati. With these rivers getting silted up, floods are a recurring feature. Chhapra
Chhapra is a city and headquarters of the Saran district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is situated near the junction of the Ghaghara River and the Ganges River. Chhapra grew in importance as a river-based market in the 18th century when the Dutch, French, Portuguese, and English established saltpeter refineries in the area. Chapra (Buddha)
is a manga drawn by Osamu Tezuka and is Tezuka's unique interpretation of the life of Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. The critically acclaimed series is often referred to as a visually explicit yet humorous and thought-provoking portrayal of the Buddha's life; the series itself has become a staple text in Buddhist temples for young adults and teens to learn about the Buddha's life. The series began in September 1972 and ended in December 1983, as one of Tezuka's last epic manga works. ''Buddha'' has over 20 million copies in circulation and won Eisner Awards in 2004 and 2005.
