Chapman Square
''Chapman Square'' is the debut studio album released by four piece British band Lawson. The album was released on 19 October 2012 via Polydor Records. The album includes their three top ten singles " When She Was Mine", " Taking Over Me" and " Standing in the Dark". The album was mainly produced by John Shanks with Duck Blackwell, Paddy Dalton, Ki Fitzgerald, Carl Falk, and Rami Yacoub. The album was re-released in the autumn of 2013 as ''Chapman Square Chapter II'', with the lead single from the re-release being " Brokenhearted", which features American rapper B.o.B. As of 2013, the album has sold 169,812 copies. Lawson (band)
Lawson are an English pop rock band, consisting of Andy Brown (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Ryan Fletcher (bass guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Joel Peat (lead guitar, keyboards, co-lead vocals) and Adam Pitts (drums, backing vocals, percussion). The band's debut album, '' Chapman Square'', was released on 22 October 2012 and reached number three on the UK Albums Chart. On 17 April 2020, the band released "Lovers", their first single after their four-year hiatus. To date, the band have achieved seven UK top 20 hit singles. They are named after Dorset-based surgeon David Lawson, who performed life-saving surgery on Andy Brown. "Standing in the Dark" is the third single by British pop rock band Lawson, from their debut studio album, ''Chapman Square''. The song was released in the United Kingdom on 14 October 2012, via Polydor Records. The song first premiered on BBC Radio 1 on 1 September. Background In an interview with Capital FM, Lawson frontman Andy Brown revealed that "Standing in the Dark" is about his ex-girlfriend, the Saturdays member Mollie King and that he wrote the song with bandmate Ryan Fletcher after seeing photographs of her with someone else. He said: "What happened was, we split up and I wrote quite a few songs about it. It was hard because she just started going out with a ridiculously good looking guy after me. Andreas Mikael Carlsson (; born 3 April 1973) is a Swedish music producer and pop songwriter. Biography Carlsson was part of the Cheiron Studios team until the studio was closed down in 2000. Herbert Joakim "Jocke" Berg (born 16 March 1970) is a Swedish singer and songwriter, best known as the lead singer of the alternative rock band Kent.
