Chaoyang Sports Centre (Simplified Chinese: 朝阳体育中心) is a multi-use stadium in Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. It is currently used mostly for athletics matches. The 2006 World Junior Championships in Athletics is the 2006 version of the World Junior Championships in Athletics. It was held from 15 August to 20 August at the Chaoyang Sports Centre in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China. The Championships were dominated by the host nation China, and Kenya. The World Athletics U20 Championships is a biennial world championships for the sport of athletics organised by the World Athletics, contested by athletes in the under-20 athletics age category (19 years old or younger on 31 December in the year of the competition. The competition was launched as the IAAF World Junior Championships in Athletics in 1986 and renamed to IAAF World U20 Championships in November 2015.
