Pazhayaveettil Chandu Nambiar also known as Pazhayamviden Chandu was a general of Pazhassi Raja whose betrayal led to death of his Raja and British victory in Cotiote War. Early life Originally from a poor family, due to starvation he joined the retinue of Pazhassi Raja as a boy. Pazhassi Raja loved him as his own son and was impressed by the ability and courage of Chandu. So he gave the best training to Chandu in war and administration and appointed him as a ''Karyakar'' or minister. Raja also made Chandu, a commoner by birth, into a noble. Raja asked a Nambiar noble clan of Pazhayveedu to adopt him. Thus Chandu became Pazhayaveettil Chandu Nambiar and hence came his nickname Pazhyamviden. Marriage Raja also arranged his marriage with a lady named Unniamma, who was sister of famous Kaitheri Ambu. Chandu is a rare concentrated preparation of opium which can be smoked. It is made by straining and boiling raw opium. Chandu was prepared for smoking in opium pipes in Asian regions specifically China and India in opium dens. Chandu form of opium delivers the purest euphoric and strongest rush of opium. Sindbad's Storybook Voyage is a boat voyage dark ride at Tokyo DisneySea, inspired by the story of Sindbad the Sailor. The attraction features the song "''Compass of Your Heart''" composed by Alan Menken and sung by Kenji Sakamoto. Originally titled Sindbad's Seven Voyages, the earliest version of the attraction had a darker tone and no song. The attraction was subsequently restyled, and the current version opened in 2007. History The Dark ride originally opened alongside Tokyo Disneysea as an opening day attraction on September 4, 2001. Unfortunately, its scary theme made the attraction unpopular with guests, especially as it was said to even terrify younger children in its early years.
