Chandrashekhar S. Patil
Chandrashekhar Sangashetty Patil (, ; 25 January 1918 – 22 December 1960) was an Indian freedom fighter and politician who served as Member of the Legislative Assembly (India), Member of the Legislative Assembly who belonged to the Indian National Congress. Chandrashekhar Patil was born to Sangasetti Patil and Veeramma Patil in Mahagaon, Gulbarga on 25 January 1918. On 22 December 1960 he died in a motor vehicle accident. He was known for having participated in India's freedom struggle and the Liberation of Hyderabad Karnataka. Various books have been written on him, including ''Tiger of Hyderabad Karnataka Chandrashekhar Patil Mahagaon'' (published 2019) and (published by the Government of Karnataka). Chandrashekhar S. Patil belonged to the first Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Mahagaon is a village in the Kalaburagi district of the Indian state Karnataka. It is located about from Kalaburagi. Mahagaon's early name was Mahaguna or Maha Gaon, meaning "big village". The Karnataka Legislative Assembly (formerly the Mysore Legislative Assembly) is the lower house of the bicameral legislature of the southern Indian state of Karnataka. Hubli
Hubli (officially Hubballi) is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka. The twin cities Hubli–Dharwad form the second largest city in the state by area and population and the largest city in North Karnataka. Hubli is in Dharwad district of Karnataka and is the taluk headquarters of Hubli City and Hubli Rural. Although it hosts the HDMC office, the district headquarters is in Dharwad. Gudleppa Hallikeri
Gudleppa Hallikeri (1906–1972) was an Indian freedom fighter who is a native of Hosaritti in Haveri district of Karnataka state. He started a residential school Gandhi Grameena Gurukul in Hosaritti. Hallikeri worked with many other freedom fighters such as Mahatma Gandhi, Mailara Mahadevappa and Sanikoppa, using peace protests and non-violence. There is a larger than life iron wrought statue of Hallikeri in his final hometown, Hubli. Hallikeri actively worked with Aluru Venkata Rao in the unification of Karnataka. Hyderabad State
Hyderabad State () was a princely state in the Deccan region of south-central India with its capital at the city of Hyderabad. It is now divided into the present-day state of Telangana, the Kalyana-Karnataka region of Karnataka, and the Marathwada region of Maharashtra in India.
