Lumbini Province
Lumbini Province ( ne, लुम्बिनी प्रदेश, Lumbinī pradēśa) is a province in western Nepal. It borders Gandaki Province and Karnali Province to the north, Sudurpashchim Province to the west, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar of India to the south. Lumbini is the third largest and the third most populous province among the Nepali provinces. Lumbini's capital, Deukhuri, is near the geographic centre of the province; it is a small town which is currently being developed to meet the prerequisite of provincial capital. The Provincial Assembly of Lumbini Province also known as the Lumbini Pradesh Sabha, (Nepali: लुम्बिनी प्रदेश सभा) is a unicameral governing and law making body of Lumbini Province, one of the 7 provinces in Nepal, and is situated at Dang, the interim province capital of Lumbini Province, with 60 Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPA). The Janamat Party ( ne, जनमत पार्टी, lit=Public Opinion Party) is a Nepalese political party. The party stands as a national party in Nepal and is the seventh-largest party since the 2022 general election. History Formation Formerly known as Alliance for Independent Madhesh, it was formed by former secessionist leader C. K. Raut. It was formed after signing an 11-point agreement with the government of Nepal and resulted in ending his separatist movement with KP Oli. The party was formed on 18 March 2019 after a two-day conclave held on 17–18 March in front of 50 delegates representing 22 districts of Nepal's Terai region.
