Champions League (video Game)
The UEFA Champions League video game license has been used by five different companies. Debuting in 1996, the series has only had five games published so far, and after being in the hands of Krisalis Software, Silicon Dreams Studio and Konami, the license now lies in the hands of Electronic Arts, EA and Sega. Krisalis (1996–1998) Krisalis Software had a strong history of football video games in the past, and inclusively released ''European Club Soccer'', a game that simulated the old knockout format in 1992. With the official branding, Krisalis worked on a 3D engine, fitted with the ''Tacti-grid'' and gameplay in the line of their older games. It had all 16 teams present in the 1996/1997 Champions League with the actual groups, plus national teams. Only one title was produced, distributed by Philips Media. It serves as the direct successor to their former ''FIFA'' series, which was discontinued following the termination of EA and FIFA's licensing agreement, serving as a continuation of EA Sports' football simulation games. The first main installment in the series, '' EA Sports FC 24'' was launched on 29 September 2023, following a one week early access period for Ultimate Edition users. Lee Dixon
Lee Michael Dixon (born 17 March 1964) is an English pundit and retired professional footballer who played as a right-back. Dixon was also capped 22 times for England. His father Roy was a goalkeeper with Manchester City and many of Dixon's formative years were spent on the terraces at Maine Road. But it was nearby Burnley he joined as a junior and he graduated to the senior team for a handful of games before John Bond released him to Chester City. After one and a half seasons there he signed for Bury before joining Stoke City where he instantly impressed, forging a fine defensive partnership with Steve Bould. Derek Rae
Derek Rae (born 9 April 1967) is a Scottish association football commentator and presenter. He currently works for ESPN and ABC in the United States for the English-language coverages of Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, and La Liga and Deutsche Fußball Liga for the English-language world feed as well as the Premier League coverage on Amazon Prime Video in the UK. He has provided the English commentary for the FIFA/ EA FC video game series alongside former Arsenal players Lee Dixon in 2020, and Stewart Robson, who also played for West Ham United, since 2021. HB Studios Multimedia Limited is a Canadian video game developer based in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. It is best known for its rugby and cricket games. History HB Studios was founded in early July 2000 by Jeremy Wellard in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. The company started with nine employees and developed '' Cricket 2002'' for Electronic Arts. ''UEFA Champions League 2006–2007'' is the official video game of the 2006–07 season of the UEFA Champions League. Developed by EA Canada, it is published by Electronic Arts worldwide under the EA Sports label. It was released on 20 March 2007 in North America, 22 March in Australia, and 23 March in Europe. This was the last game by EA Sports to include the Champions League until ''FIFA 19'' over eleven years later.
