Chamchuri United Football Club (Thai alphabet, Thai: สโมสรฟุตบอลจามจุรี ยูไนเต็ด) is a Thai semi-professional Association football, football club under the stewardship of Chulalongkorn University based in Bangkok. The club is founded as the football club for Chulalongkorn University in 2011 when the university's original club BBCU F.C., Chula United F.C. changed its name and relocated away from the university. The club is currently playing in the Thai League 3 Bangkok metropolitan region. History In 2022, Chamchuri United competed in the Thai League 3 for the 2022–23 season. It is their 12th season in the professional league. The Chulalongkorn University Stadium, formerly Charusathian Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium owned by Chulalongkorn University in Pathumwan, Bangkok, Thailand. Regional League Bangkok Area Division
Regional League Bangkok Area Division is one of six 3rd Level Leagues in Thailand. It was formed in 2009 along with other four other regional leagues at the time. Currently the winner and runner up of each regional league enter the Regional League Championships to determine the three teams that will receive promotion to the Thai Division 1 League. Promotion And Relegation
In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. In some leagues, playoffs or qualifying rounds are also used to determine rankings. The 2020–21 Thai League 3 Bangkok metropolitan region is a region in the regional stage of the 2020–21 Thai League 3. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the season must be postponed to start in late 2020 and end in early 2021. In addition, the Thai League 4 had combined with the Thai League 3 and compete as Thai League 3 since this season and there is no relegation in this season. A total of 14 teams located in Central and Bangkok Metropolitan Region of Thailand will compete in the league of the Bangkok metropolitan region.
