Challenger Salinas
The Salinas Challenger, previously known as Challenger ATP de Salinas Diario Expreso, is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It has been part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Tour. It was held annually in Salinas, Ecuador from 1996 to 2014. After a hiatus, it came back in 2021, and it was played on hard court instead of red clay. Salinas, Ecuador
Salinas is a coastal city located in the Province of Santa Elena, Ecuador. It is the seat of the canton that bears its name. The westernmost city on mainland Ecuador, Salinas is an important tourist center. Salinas, Ecuador's largest coastal resort, offers one of the country's best real estate investment markets and most popular and most upscale beach lifestyle. It was the site of the ISA World Junior Surfing Games Ecuador in 2009. Nicolas Moreno De Alboran
Nicolas Moreno de Alboran (born 14 July 1997) is an American tennis player. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 141 achieved on 19 June 2023 and a doubles ranking of World No. 486, achieved on 9 August 2021. Moreno de Alboran has won two Challenger singles titles and five ITF doubles titles. Career Moreno de Alboran had an excellent collegiate tennis career for University of California, Santa Barbara and made sporadic appearances on the ITF circuit while still in college. He turned professional in 2019 and, following a period of inactivity caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, progressed to regular appearances on the ATP Challenger Tour during the second half of the 2021 season. He won his first Challenger title at the 2022 Braga Open.
