Chala
The Chala or "Coast" is one of the eight natural regions in Peru. It is formed by all the western lands that arise from sea level up to the height of 500 meters. The coastal desert of Peru is largely devoid of vegetation but a unique fog and mist-fed ecosystem called Lomas is scattered among hills near the Pacific coast as elevations up to . In this region, the flora includes vegetation that grows near the rivers, like the carob tree, the palo verde, salty grama grass, manglar or mangrove tree, the carrizo or giant reed and the Caña brava (ditch reed); and plants that grow in the hills, such as the Amancay or Peruvian daffodil (''Hymenocallis amancaes''), the wild tomato, the mito or Peruvian papaya (''Vasconcellea candicans''), and the divi-divi (''Cæsalpinia coriaria''). Challa Kondaiah
Challa Kondaiah (Telugu: చల్లా కొండయ్య) (1918-2001) was Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court. He was born on 4 July 1918 at Challavaripalle in Anantapur district to Challa Venkata Kondaiah and Laxmamma. He graduated from Government Arts College in Anantapur and received his Bachelor of Law from Madras Law College. He did Civil, Criminal and Taxation work in Madras High Court, High Court of Andhra at Guntur and High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad. He was appointed Standing Counsel for Income-Tax Department in 1958. He was appointed permanent Judge on 21 August 1967. He was transferred to Madhya Pradesh High Court on 24 June 1976. He was Judge of Andhra Pradesh High Court again from 27 October 1977. He was Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh from 16 March 1979 till 3 July 1980. Ger Challa
Gerrit "Ger" Challa (born 18 December 1928) is a Dutch chemist. He was professor of chemistry and polymer technology at the University of Groningen from 1965 to 1993. Challa was born in Amsterdam. He studied chemistry between 1946 and 1953. He worked ten years for the Institute of Cellulose Research of the . Challa obtained his title of doctor in maths and physics on 13 May 1959 under Jan Ketelaar at the University of Amsterdam. His thesis was titled: "Formation of polyethylene terephthalate by ester interchange : equilibria kinetics and molecular weight distribution". After starting as professor at the University of Groningen he set the possibility to study polymer chemistry. Challa also developed the research department. He was elected a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1986.
