Dean Chalkley (born 2 April 1968) is a British photographer from Southend-on-Sea. Early life Dean Chakley's first years were spent on a farm in Essex where his parents were labourers. Alfred Chalkley
Alfred George Chalkley (16 August 1904 – 11 June 1971) was an English footballer who played as a full-back for West Ham United. Chalkley, brother of West Ham centre-half George and Dartford left-back Charlie, was born in Plaistow. He played schoolboy football as an outside-left, and was capped for England Boys against Scotland in 1917, although he served with the Army during World War I and later became a steel erector. Chalkley signed professional forms with West Ham in 1931 after impressing in a trial game and played 29 games of the 1931–32 season. His Division One debut came in the first game of the season, a 1–0 away loss against Bolton Wanderers on 29 August 1931, in front of 15,740 people. Two days later, he experienced a home crowd of 28,338, and a 3–1 win against Chelsea. Frederick Chalkley
Frederick George Chalkley (12 July 1874 – 5 March 1953) was an English footballer who played as a full-back for Thames Ironworks, the club that would later become known as West Ham United. Born in Plaistow, Essex, Chalkley played for local team Park Grove, becoming club captain in 1893–94, before joining Thames Ironworks in August 1896. He played in the first game of the season, against Queens Park Rangers, but did not earn a permanent place until November 1896 from when he did not miss a game for the rest of the season. He lost his place in November 1897 and was relegated to playing for the second team. He made three FA Cup appearances for the club during the 1897–98 season. In 1898, Chalkley left the Irons for London League side Monsteds Athletic. He also played for Clapton Orient, who later became known as Leyton Orient. Chalk
Chalk is a soft, white, porous, sedimentary carbonate rock. It is a form of limestone composed of the mineral calcite and originally formed deep under the sea by the compression of microscopic plankton that had settled to the sea floor. Chalk is common throughout Western Europe, where deposits underlie parts of France, and steep cliffs are often seen where they meet the sea in places such as the Dover cliffs on the Kent coast of the English Channel.
